Focus and Scope

The International Journal of Women and Children (IJWC) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Center for Gender and Child Studies (PSGA), Universitas Cenderawasih. The journal aims to provide an international forum for scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to disseminate research findings, critical analyses, and innovative perspectives related to women’s studies, children’s studies, and gender issues.

IJWC promotes interdisciplinary approaches that integrate social sciences, humanities, education, health sciences, law, and development studies, with particular attention to local, national, and global contexts, including indigenous and marginalized communities.

Scope of the Journal includes, but is not limited to:

  • Gender equality and gender justice
  • Women’s empowerment and leadership
  • Child protection, child rights, and child welfare
